This is a very sturdy and comfortable chair!
I had debated for weeks over getting this Hammock Chair because I had seen negative reviews about the wooden bar breaking on people sitting in it..
The bar is fine, it is sturdy and supports the weight evenly between the ropes as it is supposed to do.
I suppose if you were to grab and hang only from the center of the wooden bar itself, which is crazy, the bar might give and even snap. But that would be using the chair incorrectly, like the monkey bars at the playground...
This is a nice well built chair, not a toy to be hung off of in all directions or used as a trapeezs, but to be sat in and to swing back and forth.
The first time I sat in it I fell asleep :) I hyng it inside my living room myself, and it has been a perfect little place for me to sit and watch TV or listen to music since Ive had it.
Don't worry, it is well built, just remember it is not a trampoline or a chin up bar at the playground and little kids should be made aware of the way it should be used.
If treated and used the way it is meant to be used it will last a long time!

Easier to get out of than I thought.
I'm looking for seating options under a pergola in the yard. The ground is uneven so traditional furniture is a challenge.
This looked like a good price and it was well reviewed so I ordered one.
The hardware that comes with this chair gives multiple options for how it can be hung.
I'm not in good shape. I'm approaching 50 years old. My left ankle is in a cast. I'm probably not the expected target audience for a product like this, but who doesn't like to swing?
It's really comfortable.
It comes with 2 pillows to add support where you want it. The seat was deep enough that I could sit in the lotus position with a cat on my lap while reading.
There's a nice pocket on the inside. I keep spare reading glasses in there and use it to hold pens and ear phones for when I'm relaxing outside sketching and journaling.
I thought getting out of it would be a challenge, but since this has a crossbar, I could hold onto the bar to shift my weight forward and pull myself to standing without problems.
This takes up little space and detaches easily, so I'm keeping this one and we're going to buy a few more to use.
We are going to level the ground and put a dining table there, but we'll push the table and chairs to the side when we want to hang out.
